Ethiopia Reads publishes high-quality multi-lingual books for children in English as well as Ethiopian languages. Highlighting original texts and illustrations as well as traditional folk tales that derive from Ethiopia's rich culture, these books allow Ethiopian children to see their lives, looks and languages reflected in the pages of books for the first time.
Since the 2003 publication of an English/Amharic retelling of the classic tale Silly Mammo, Ethiopia Reads has published volumes in the Sidama, Tigrignia and Oromo languages.
