Ethiopia Reads

These are called Ristras, the string of red chilis that decorate the countryside in New Mexico in the autumn....drying in the sun for preservation and later use in sauces. The heat of the chile comes from a substance called capsaicin which is found in the membrane surrounding the seeds.
