Imaginary After School Party

EthiopiaReadsFundraisers

Friends of Ethiopia Reads is honoring Ben Franklin Elementary School for 11 consecutive years supporting literacy in Ethiopia. Under the leadership of Dr. Beth Randklev, principal, BRING A BOOK, BUY A BOOK has been held each spring. Students are encouraged to donate books they have read throughout the year for other readers to purchase. Parents help their children locate books at home to bring. Teachers stay after school and set up books for the sale then take their students to the sale helping them select books for summer reading. Often these caring teachers will ensure that all students receive a book by purchasing books using their own resources.

Ben Franklin School children and staff have raised dollars to help fund a school library in the Somali region of Ethiopia, to purchase collections of English and local language books, and provide training for Ethiopian educators. Ethiopia Reads needs your help to ensure children in Ethiopia will continue to have a safe place to read and learn. You can help with a donation to Ethiopia Reads. You don’t have to dress up or attend an event. Instead, consider how important reading is to you and your family, then make a donation to Ethiopia Reads.

You can donate here by selecting “[ SPECIAL ] – Imaginary After School Party” under the Specification for custom donations drop-down menu!
